In recent years, the construction of subway is becoming faster. However, the increase of subway lines cannot promote the development of technology. Noise, vibration, waggle and other issues are still exist, when the subway is operating. The stability of metro vehicle is still a major technology research.This task adopted by SIMPACK, a simulation calculation software of multibody system dynamics to study equivalent conicity, critical velocity and the relationship of them. The parameters and data of the simulation calculation are based on the actual vehicle parameters the size of wheel tread and rail with standard, slight, medium and severe abrasion. This task have used these parameters and data to calculate equivalent conicity and critical velocity, when different wheel are running on different rail. And then, study the equivalent conicity how to influence the critical velocity. At the same time, for the actual situation, this task have chosen a typical vehicle, and used left or right size of wheel tread to study the equivalent conicity with different size of left or right wheel tread.Finally, this task have got the conclusion, and planned to the research for the future.
