To improve and perfect design of the crane metal structure optimization is the current hot spot in crane industry. On the basis of the structural bionic design theory, this paper puts forward the idea of structural mixed bionic optimization design. Taking bamboo and king lotus as prototype, this paper is going on structural mixed bionic optimization design for QD75 T / 31.5 m bridge crane box girder, providing a certain design train of thought and theory guidance for innovative design of the future bridge crane box girder. The main research contents and innovation points are summarized as follows:Firstly, it firstly introduced the general situation of the development of bridge crane at home and abroad, the application of optimization design method in the crane design and research status and development trend of crane girder structure optimization design. And introduced the idea of structural bionic, briefly introduced the research background and status of structural bionic.Secondly, the basic concepts of structural bionic are explained in this paper. Three major theoretical basis of structural bionic and the method of structural bionic design are analyzed, and the similarity evaluation standard and detailed similarity calculation method are introduced in detail, and the problems that need to be aware of in the process of structural bionic design are also introduced in detail.Thirdly, clarified the design requirements of bridge crane box beam, identified the main performance parameters of box beam prototype, and carried on the stress analysis and stress checking, using ANSYS Workbench software to analysis box beam from both the statics analysis and modal analysis, so as to get a more comprehensive understanding of the structure characteristic of the box beam.Forthly, further studied configuration rule of bamboo and king lotus veins, based on the fuzzy similar theory of structural bionic, calculated the similarity between box beam and bionic prototype(bamboo, king lotus), and established box beam modal of imitation bamboo and imitation king lotus, on the basis of the above to analyze advantages and disadvantages of these two kinds of bionic box beam.Lastly, identified the bionic design scheme of mixed bionic box girder, established three-dimensional model of mixed bionic box beam, analyzed it in both the statics and modal analysis. Comparison and analysis results showed that the hybrid bionic model got better optimization results in aspects such as weight loss, strength, stiffness and stability and so on. This shows that bionic design method of hybrid structure is really effective and feasible in optimization design of bridge crane box beam.
