With the advances of modern life and development of socio-economic, especially the rapid growth of urban load, short time outages of some important load will loss significant economic, the impact on society will become more and more prominent. The attention of people on short time outages and power quality problems is higher than ever before. Distribution network as a direct link to contact the user, any failure and disturbance will affect the normal power supply to the user. Smart distribution network will become the new trend of the future power grid development, the implementation of the self-healing function of smart distribution network will have great significance on improving power supply quality, providing quality electricity, effectively alleviating and reducing the solution on the problem of short time power outages.On the basis of the traditional distribution automation, this article will focus on fast self-healing algorithm of smart distribution grids.1. On the basis of urban distribution grid features, we provided fast recovery control system of smart distribution grid structure based on overhead lines and cable lines, we introduced in detail Primary Equipment and Secondary Equipment of two structures and communications network of fast self-healing system, including optical fiber communication network and GPRS wireless communication network..2. Based on the traditional distribution grid automation, this article will focus on fast self-healing algorithms of smart distribution grid. On the basis of comprehensive analysis of existing research results of the smart grid self-healing function, in particular, fault isolation of Closed-loop operation of distribution grid,we proposed fast self-healing algorithm in the open-loop operation of mode smart distribution grid.3. We created smart distribution grid fast self-healing simulation model in PSCAD simulation software. Through Analyzing fast recovery control system of smart distribution grid structure based on overhead lines and cable lines, we provided fast self-healing algorithm of smart distribution grid, we build fast fault self-healing simulation model in PSCAD simulation software to verify the proposed algorithm.
