Excavating machinery is a kind of general mechanical equipment, which is mainly used in excavating earth and stonework. Besides, excavating machinery is also one of the important engineering machinery that most widely used.Based on the overseas and domestic research status of excavator bucket work device design, and combining with the excavator working device’s high efficiency and low energy consumption, this dissertation integrated use the modern design technology (including mechanical design, bionics and computer) and take the designated excavated soil as an example to discuss the excavating effect and soil reverse reaction of current excavator bucket model. This dissertation is going to use the bionic principle to extract the forefoot biological curve of mole cricket that is a kind of soil animal have superior soil-excavating efficiency in order to design the current excavator bucket into a new version with biological characteristics, which provides new excavator design scheme with higher efficiency of drag reduction. Using the microscope to get the longitudinal transverse section photos of mole cricket’s front feet, then apply the AutoCAD software to obtain the longitudinal transverse section curve of mole cricket’s front feet and export the coordinate data through command LIST. Make use of continuous tangent arc curve to fit the biological curve of claw toe cross section and then obtain the digital biological curve. Improve the design of current excavator bucket model through the application of Solidworks software by using the above-mentioned digital curve, and finally obtain the bionics excavator bucket model and bionics bucket tooth model of mole cricket front feet claw toe.Apply the ANSYS/LS-DYNA software to analogue simulate the soil cutting process of current excavator bucket tooth model and bionics excavator bucket tooth model separately, and to determinate the soil resistance of these two different bucket teeth under the same conditions. The result of analogue simulation indicates that bionics bucket tooth’s effect in the destruction of soil soil cutting is superior to the ordinary bucket teeth.The bionics excavator bucket model based on the mole cricket claw toe characteristics can effectively enhance excavator bucket’s destructive force of the soil and reduce the soil resistance in the process of soil excavation. This design has important practical significance in improving the comprehensive performance of excavator, reducing the excavating resistance.
