In recent years, China’s railway industry has achieved rapid development, with the continuously increasing of train speed, the total length of railways, and the passenger transport volume. Therefore, more and more railway equipment have been used to ensure the safety and efficiency of train operation.The Balise Transmission Module (BTM) consists of two parts, the BTM host and the antenna, which receives the uplink information from the trackside balise. After the information is analyzed, transmiting the information to the onboard equipment of train control system. The central processing module of the BTM host consists of the decoder board and the communication board, which fulfill the task of decoding and framing respectively.The test of BTM host board includes the production test and R&D test. The production test relies on a variety of testing instruments, and the test procedure is characteristic of being complex, resource consuming and low efficiency. In the traditional R&D test, white box testing is used to test the function and performance of the software. and code walkthrough and integrated testing are normally adopted, with poor applicability and flexibility.According to these drawbacks of the traditional testing of BTM host. BTM test equipment based on DSP (Digital Signal Processing) is designed and implemented in this thesis. Test equipment using a DSP chip and a FPGA chip, DSP chip is responsible for provide the self-testing signal to the under testing board. Test equipment simulation Train Control System to send the request frame and judges receiving data logic. Controlled by DSP, the FPGA chip sends the virtual ground balise information. Use stand-alone testing and integrated testing of the decoder board and communication board, significantly improving the test efficiency and the applicability of the test system. It is also applicable for both of production testing and R&D testing, reducing the testing cost and improving the development efficiency.The main work of this thesis is as follows:(1) This paper analyzed the function of BTM communication board, decoding board and the working principle. Putting forward the BTM communication board and decoding board test tooling overall demand, including decoding board stand-alone test, communication board stand-alone test, and two boards’ integreted test. Hardware interface, the structure of the electrical, and software test item requirements are proposed in this paper.(2) This paper formulates the BTM master-board test equipment in three test modes of the overall testing process, and makes the test equipment hardware and software design scheme. Hardware interface scheme is formulated according to the requirements of testing system interface, including the master device selection, hardware core circuit design. Software design scheme according to the test requirements, makes software test principle and test process for each module.(3) In the commissioning phase of test equipment of each functional module test. After passing the test, use the test equipment to test communication board and the decoder board in practical, to verify the test equipment has reached the design requirements standard.(4) Summarizes the problems occurred in the test equipment design process, come up with the solutions of the existing problems. Look forward to the next step of test equipment.
