As the urbanization develops steadily in our country, the planning and construction for Urban Agglomeration is stepping into a period of fast development. The multi-level rail transit system composed of intercity rail transit, suburban railway, and urban rail transit is the effective means to deal with transporting issue, the reasonable and efficient connection among rail transits with different levels plays a vital role for the transport efficiency in Urban Agglomeration rail transit network. Connection mode among rail transits with different levels and its evaluation are studied as follows:(1) The characteristics of urban rail transit, suburban railway and intercity rail transit are analyzed in four aspects including functional orientation, the characteristics of passenger flow, technical standard and the operation organization. Then, the cases of the connection of multi-level rail transits in Paris, Tokyo and New York are analyzed, and two connecting modes including transfer and through operation are proposed.(2) For the transferring mode, issues about transfer station selection and the way to transfer are mainly studied based on the analyzing of the connection principle of rail transfer and the features of transferring among multi-level rails. And for the selection of transfer station, the follows are proposed:First, intercity rail transit should choose large external transport center, transportation hub and passenger distribution center as transfer stations. Second, suburb railway should select stations in city center and could transfer with urban rail transit along the line. For the transfer modes, the follows are proposed: First, intercity rail transit should choose transfer station hall preferentially. Second, transferring in the outer zone of suburban railway should choose the same platform transfer mode for the same direction while in the city center should choose the continuous same platform of transfer, and the using of a single island platform in double-deck is suggested.(3) By analyzing the principles, advantages and existing problems of rail transit through operating, this paper pay more attention to the implementation conditions and operation organization issues of it. Base on two indexes of peak hour and all day passenger flow, this paper come up with the implement conditions of through operating:passenger flow over 8370 people per hour in peak hour, and 16 thousand people per day; This paper also analyzed the engineering implement conditions about line parameters, station wiring, power supply and signal. For operation organization, this paper put forward the type of single line and branch line of multi-level rail transit, studied the vehicle routing under different conditions of passenger flow intensity, the level of service and the location of junction station and intermediate station. Give three solutions about train operation mode of different levels of rail transit:overtaking, rate-limiting, and avoid the peak hour, and the rate-limiting scheme should be preferred, overtaking scheme should depend on the line and passenger flow conditions, peak shifting scheme should be carefully chosen.(4) Build "AHP-Entropy-Grey correlation" model as the method of connection mode select and evaluate, then create evaluation index system of multi-level rail transit connection mode selection in Urban Agglomeration based on network form, service level, operation effects and engineering enablement; Use the model to calculate and analysis the four plans about the example of line M4 and line S1, then get the recommended alternative sequence of plans, find out that through operation scheme is better than transfer scheme finally.
