With the rapid development of Chinese economy, China’s urbanization process has also begun to enter the acceleration phase, which brought prosperity in the construction industry. Today, the construction industry will not only contribute to the local economic development, but also make changes in people’s lives. However, the rapid urbanization also makes the current internal defects in China’s construction industry exposed more obviously. The most prominent problem is the quality problem. Construction quality problems, ranging from large construction personnel safety to small architectural decoration quality problems, have become unavoidable social issues.Building decoration industry, as a terminal in the construction industry, is closely connected with the lives of consumers more than others. Nevertheless, it is also where there are most enterprises, lowest thresholds for the industry, and a variety of quality problems. Our findings on a great deal of architectural decoration products on current market showed that unqualified architectural decoration materials occupy a large proportion on the whole market. Products on the market varies greatly in terms of quality. Because a lot of architectural decoration products have direct contact with human bodies, they would not only harm the economic interests of consumers, but also affect their physical well-being. In an urgent need for regulating the building decoration market, China has also introduced correspondent industry quality standards and specifications. However, given the architectural decoration industry is still a fledgling period, internal quality control process often relies more backward method, resulting in low efficiency, appearance work, product counterfeiting and other issues.For example, a survey conducted by some Provincial Industry and Commerce Bureau shows that the pass rate of interior wall paints material was 50%. Apart from white latex at a failure rate of 25%, other types of adhesive fails in a proportion higher than 35%. It can be concluded from this sampling, the quality of building materials on the market today vary greatly, hence difficult for consumers to distinguish good quality from bad. Since more and more leukemia patients are concluded to be caused by unqualified materials the patients are mostly children, the building decoration materials quality issue has become the focus of public attention. On the other hand, due to the specialty of the construction project, most workers are temporary staff and generally have low qualifications. A lot of people have no formal induction training. Another issue in the architectural decoration projects is that clients would have a different opinion in the constructing process. It is widely seen that in residential renovation projects, for example, some clients want to expand the area and tear down load-bearing walls. These behaviors not only bring about individual residential security risks, but also endanger the whole residence building.After years of development, quality management theory has been improved to a more mature theoretical system. From initial testing to sample testing, and to today’s comprehensive quality management, quality control has not only stayed in the level of means, but has become a management method. At the same time the theory of internal control has become increasingly mature. By learning from quality management theory and engineering practice, the thesis tries to apply them to the establishment of an architectural decoration projects quality control system. Unlike normal products, architectural decoration products have a longer period, more intensive labor, more influence from the clients on producing process, etc. In this term, the existing quality management and internal control theory produce many practical problems in architectural decoration projects, which is the biggest challenge in this thesis. On a theoretical level, the thesis adds width to the existing quality management theory. On a practical level, it can help companies improve their internal architectural engineering quality control system, improve the efficiency of quality control, and provide reference for other enterprises to establish a construction project quality management system.The main content of this article consists of six parts. Chapter One (Introduction) first introduces the background and significance of architectural enterprise engineering quality control. Then takes a look at the research findings on quality control projects both home and abroad, and summed up the experience and lessons. Secondly, it introduces research ideas and methods of the thesis, then describes the overall framework and content of the thesis. The Chapter One concludes with a brief analysis of the possible contribution and shortcomings. The Second Chapter describes the development process of project quality control, some basic principles of theoretical methods to analyze the personnel, materials, technology and methods, as well as several key environmental controls quality factors, and summarized the experience of some quality control method. The Third Chapter is about the business case analysis on Company A. It is first introduced that the architectural decoration industry development status and quality control policy, then the general situation of enterprise A, from personnel, materials, technology and method and environment to analyze the current situation of and existing quality control problems in Enterprises A. The Fourth Chapter analyzes the problem in the previous chapter, the corresponding quality control recommendations for improvement, and related control activities designed to improve specific programs. The Sixth Chapter of the thesis are conclusions and future research directions.The thesis combs and analyzes relevant quality control theories, takes building decoration company A as an example to improve its quality control system. Since each decoration company has different focuses, their quality control may vary greatly. The quality control framework proposed in this thesis cannot be applied to all architectural decoration business. In this regard, the future studies may continue in terms of following aspects:(1) the future development of building decoration industry is bound to be in new technologies, new processes, new equipment, and new materials; in direction of construction technology, construction technology, information systems control; concerning design and material innovation, energy conservation and environmental protection as the center of architectural ideas. These new requirements ask for bigger challenges for architectural decoration industry quality control, namely, the "four new" development of enterprises. (2)Establish multi-angle quality control. It means taking people, goods, technology, environment four factors, analysis quality control risks of each module, so as to formulate appropriate control measures. Over the years, whether it is theoretical or practical, studies of quality control have a lot of different perspectives. Quality control in different perspectives has, apart from their commons, some personality to some degree. Enterprises may find out their own needs for management, starting from a different perspective, to design a system in line with its own operating quality control system.
