With the continuous development of intelligent transportation system, traffic signal control is an important part of intelligent transportation system, has become one of the important research directions. Traffic signal control can effectively improve the traffic order and efficiency, it plays an important role in the process of city road traffic development, it is of great importance to improve the traffic efficiency of intersection. This paper takes the city traffic signal control system of the single intersection and related intersection as the research object, using chaotic artificial fish-swarm algorithm of traffic signal timing optimization problem research. In order to improve the control effect of intersection signal City, alleviate the city traffic congestion problems. The main works are as follows:(1)To establish the minimum delay time for single intersection signal control performance index model; analysis of the adaptive algorithm theory and algorithm process of chaotic artificial fish-swarm algorithm function regulation and its application in solving the model of single intersection signal control based on. The algorithm uses chaotic initialization method to generate the initial population, the hybrid chaotic search strategy to improve the searching capability of the algorithm, the algorithm overcomes the premature convergence.(2) To establish a target signal with minimum delay time, stopping, capacity of an optimal control model, using chaotic artificial fish-swarm algorithm to solve the model, the simulation results show that the algorithm can better adapt to the signal with different traffic condition optimization, can effectively improve the intersection traffic conditions, the algorithm has a certain application value.(3) To establish route green wave control model based on the minimum delay.and proposing chaotic artificial fish-swarm algorithm based on objective function gradient and fitness and applied this algorithm to solve this problem. The simulation results show that the algorithm can improve the road traffic capacity, reduce the delay of vehicles, to achieve the purpose of optimal control of traffic signal.(4) To establish the vehicle delay time minimum as the optimization target correlation intersection signal control model; the optimization objective function related intersection signal control model is identified, and the chaotic artificial fish-swarm algorithm is used to solve related intersection signal control model, simulation results show that the algorithm is introduced to improve the algorithm’s global search strategy optimal search capabilities, have certain effect to improve the related intersection vehicle delay.
