With the rapid development of high-speed railway, the vibration problems of high-speed EMU vehicle become more and more prominent. Damper is an essential component for high-speed vehicles, the study about the effect of damper parameters on the performance of high-speed vehicle dynamics is particularly important. The damper installation angle is taken as the study object, this paper is based on the high-speed EMU trailer unit dynamic modeling principles and theories method, the high-speed EMU trailer is modeling and analyzed by the SIMPACK software. Then on the basis of the commonly used evaluation standard of high-speed EMU vehicle dynamic performance, the stability, linear running stability and curve negotiation performance of the trailer model are analyzed, combined with the actual operation performance of the high-speed EMU, the correction of model is confirmed. The mounting angle and common error effect of the yaw damper, the secondary lateral damper and the primary vertical damper on dynamics performance of high-speed trailer is studied respectively by controlling variables method, which can provide the reference for the high-speed EMU vehicle running performance analysis and selection of damper installation angle, assembly and maintenance.The installation angle of yaw damper of the trailer has a great influence on the dynamic performance. With the increase of the installation angle, the dynamic performance falls sharply. The installation angle of secondary lateral damper of the trailer affects little hunting stability and curve through performance. The horizontal and vertical damping of the second-ary lateral damper is distributed to the second suspension system equivalently with the vari-ety of the vertical angle. As a result, the secondary lateral damping decreases and the sec-ondary vertical damping increases, which will affect the horizontal and vertical stability of the car body. The primary vertical damper installation angle of the trailer has some effect on hunting stability and vertical stability, but little effect on lateral stability and curve through performance of car body.Based on the installation angle error analysis of the common damper, the results indicate that yaw damper installation angle error results in exacerbating yaw and roll motion of the frame. Then the hunting stability of the bogie and the lateral stability of the car body tend to be worse. The vertical installation angle error of two yaw dampers on the bogie will cause the wheel-rail lateral force to increase and wheel derailment safety to reduce. The lateral in- stallation angle error of yaw damper will deteriorate all kinds of dynamic performances of high-speed vehicle, avoiding horizontal installation angle error of yaw damper is necessary. The secondary lateral damper will form damping component which is correspond to vertical installation angle error in the vehicle system, thus affects the car body vertical and lateral stability.
