In recent years, due to the government calling on the wall reform and energy conservation and emissions reduction, the environmental protection green building wall material which has light weight and high strength got great development. Meanwhile we developed the crop straw non-bearing composite wallboard. The wallboard not only solves abandoned crop straw nowhere is stacked or disposed, but also avoids the air pollution problems brought on by a burning straw. Finally it turns “waste” into wealth. As a kind of new wall materials, whether the wallboard put into practical engineering applications and mass production, it must test its mechanical properties. This paper studied the compressive strength, the flexural strength, the elastic modulus of the crop straw non-bearing composite wallboard, and out-of-plane bending resistance, impact resistance and hanging resistance of the wallboard. At the same time, we have carried on the analysis of theory about out-of-plane wind resistance and out-of-plane seismic. The main research work is as follows:(1) The experiment researched on the performance of the crop straw wall material. It analyzes the influence that the age and specimen size have an effect on the compressive strength and flexural strength. And the formula representing the relationship between the age and the compressive strength or flexural strength was put forward according to regression analysis of mathematical statistics. In the further, we calculate the specimens size scaling factor of the standard specimen or non-standard both compressive strength and flexural strength. The formula was put forward that between the compressive strength and elastic modulus, and analysis the relationship of the stress – strain.(2) The experiment researched on the performance of out-of-plane bending resistance of the crop straw non-bearing composite wallboard. Through the study of the out-of-plane bending performance test of the wallboard, analyze its bending properties, and its mid-span deflection calculation formula was put forward.(3) The experiment researched on the performance of hanging resistance of the crop straw non-bearing composite wallboard. Through the study of the hanging force performance test of the wallboard, observed the crack shape, proposed the wall hanging resistance bearing capacity calculation formula.(4) The experiment researched on the performance of impact resistance of the crop straw non-bearing composite wallboard. Through the study of the impact resistance test of the wallboard, observed the crack shape, the wallboard impact resistance bearing capacity calculation formula is put forward.(5) Analysis of the theory of the crop straw non-bearing composite wallboard under the horizontal load. Through analyzing out-of-plane resistance to wind and out-of-plane seismic analysis of the wallboard, evaluated the performance of the wallboard under horizontal load.(6) The structure design and construction advice of the crop straw non-bearing composite wallboard. Structure design of the wallboard is proposed and put forward some suggestions for its engineering applications.
