Single-layer spherical reticulated shell structure appeared is a new form of the spatial structure’s development in recent years,which has reasonable force,nice appearance,material economic advantages and so on, it is widely used in civil buildings and military radomes and other facilities,besides,there is a large needs in domestic for this shell. At present, the single-layer spherical reticulated shell exists incomplete specification in the design process,design configuration is difficult to determine,computational efficiency is not high.Besides,the foreigns have a monopoly on the core technology, resulting the shell’s relatively slow development in domestic. Aiming at the above problems,this paper has carried out the research on the single-layer spherical reticulated shell structure so as to promote the development of relevant research in our country.First,it studied the wind load calculation and related simulation problems of single-layer spherical reticulated shells in this paper.Some more serious problems exist in the wind load calculation of conventional wind flow distribution method, such as long time modeling,meshing difficult,the solver often without normal convergence.In this paper, aiming at these problems of single-layer spherical reticulated shell, presented a method of using the ideal sphere model instead of reticulated shell model.Through the wind field numerical simulation under the same condition both the shell model and the ideal sphere model, and the income results were loaded on the shell model, carried out fluid solid coupling analysis, compared the wind field force, maximal positive pressure and the combination stress, verified the feasibility of using ideal ball instead of reticulated shell model in wind field analysis.Based on the simplified calculation of wind load,studying the effects of different radius ratio of single-layer spherical reticulated shell on wind force,pointed out the rational value of shell configuration radius ratio, so as to ensure that rationality of the shell’s cutting at the bottom and the operability of installation; Researching on the shell buckling under the membrane with different pre-tension, selected the top typical Pentagon frame mading of the structure to test bearing, through the analysis, applying a larger pre-tension to membrane was appropriate,and it’s conducive to the stability and stiffness of reticulated shell.In view of the seismic demand of the spherical reticulated shell, studied the multi-dimensional earthquake of the shell,founded that the total deformation and the force of key met the requirements, the seismic performance of the reticulated shell structure was good and it met the engineering demand.For the installation of the shell, this paper carried out the two pre-installation scheme analysis, through the research, founded that across the centre of sphere two layer with 1MPa pre-tension of membranescheme was appropriate, and pointed out shell installation need to pay attention to the problems and the corresponding countermeasures.In order to verify the reliability of the simulation model and modify the key parameters of the model, experiments were carried out the physical prototype of the single-layer spherical reticulated shell, compared the experimental results and the simulation results, their agreement degree satisfied the needs of engineering, verified the correctness of the simulation model, so as to it provided a basis for the subsequent shell in series design.
