Time standard for the railway technical operation has a significant impact on the organization of railway transportation, it is the key parameter of the train operation organization and an important component of train working diagram, calculation of carrying capacity, transport organization in stations and other operations, and it directly affects the policy of railway transport organization.Under the background of the imperfect time standard system for the railway technical operation. The article discussed the problems about time standard for the railway technical operation combined with the problems in practical operations. A systematic research of the time standards’ structure mechanisms, influencing factors, work flows and calculation methods has been made. On the basis of the improvement of time standard system for the railway technical operation, the article has mainly made a thorough study on train interval time especially on the high-speed train interval time based on aim-interval control mode curve. Some views and conclusions of the article are very consultative in the determination of time standard for the railway technical operation. Main research includes the following parts:(1)Based on the analysis of related materials, the article made a research of time standard system for the railway technical operation, divided various railway technical operations into different types according to scientific classification, and summarized time characteristics of different railway technical operations.(2)Train interval time is deeply studied. This article has determined the classification method into two parts:the first part is dividing train interval time into several categories according to mode of train control system and train traffic control style, and the second part is subdividing them further by the operational relationship between two adjacent trains. Considering the train tracking running relationship and setting of train routes,5 principles of train interval time are put forward. Integrating the qualitative analyses of train interval time’s 11 kinds of influence factors, the article has proposed calculating flow of train interval time, which determines the composition of train interval space by different kinds of train interval time and calculates time trains passing the interval space. It also has an analysis on the advantages and disadvantages of different kinds of calculation methods, and adopt the traction simulation calculation method.(3)The article has studied mechanisms of different kinds of train interval time based on aim-interval control mode curve, researched recognition conditions based on principles of train interval time, worked out the composition of train interval space and made the qualitative analyses of the train running status. It also builds a calculation model of train interval time. Combined with the field data, train interval time parameters are calibrated, including time of setting train routes and device parameters.(4)The traction simulation calculation method of train interval time is deeply studied. The article analyzes train operation simulation calculation method, builds braking distance model controlled by ATP and comes up with a aim-interval control mode curve simulation calculation method based on inverse iteration algorithm. This provides traction simulation calculation method for the calculation of train interval time.(5)Finally, based on CRH traction calculation system developed by lab’s research group, this article checks out the accuracy of the calculation method of train interval time by calculating the train interval time between Jinan West Railway Station and Zaozhuang Railway Station of Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Railway. The article sets up the simulation environment by CRH traction calculation system, checks train interval time with different affecting factors, figures out impacts of throat length, the length of the block section,the lateral speed limit of turnout and the setting of electrical sectioning on train interval time. Concrete impacts are as follows:1) The length of the block section will affect the tracking interval time in block section, the tracking interval time when starting from a station, tracking interval time when passing through a station, the interval time between a passing train with the sequential departure train in the same direction and the interval time between a departure train with the sequential passing train in the same direction, the longer the length is, the longer these interval times will be, and vice versa.2) The throat length will affect all interval times except the interval time between an arrived train with the sequential departure train in the opposite direction when routes conflict and the tracking interval time in block section, the longer the throat length is, the longer these interval times will be, and vice versa.3)The lateral speed limit of turnout will affect the tracking interval time when arriving at a station, the tracking interval time when starting from a station, the interval time between a passing train with the sequential arriving train in the same direction, the interval time between a departure train with the sequential passing train in the same direction, the interval time between a departure train with the sequential arriving train in the same direction and the interval time between a departure train with the sequential arriving train in the opposite direction when routes conflict. It shows a negative correlation between the lateral speed limit of turnout with the interval times when trains start from a station; and it is a complicated mechanism of the influence which the lateral speed limit of turnout has on the interval times when trains arrive at a station, and it can’t be simply described as a positive correlation or a negative correlation.4) The setting of electrical sectioning has the largest influence on the interval times when trains arrive at a station, the interval times when trains pass a station take second place and there’s no influence on the interval times when trains arrive at a station. The smaller the distance between the neutral section with the departure terminal of the station is and the longer the length of the neutral section is, the larger the influence on the the tracking interval time when starting from a station and the interval time between a departure train with the sequential passing train in the same direction will be. At the same mode and position, it will cause a smaller loss when the throat length is longer.
