Train traction calculation is the scientific calculation in rail transport,which studies the train's running status on railway and other related issues under the influence of external force(including locomotive traction,train resisteance and braking force).It is based on mechanics,scientific experiments,advanced operation experience and analysis on various phenomena and principle in the course of train operation.The train traction calculation and simulation result is summarized and applied in r ail transit planning,design and operation so as to improve the economic benefits of railway transport system.On the basis of both of domestic and abroad experiences and research results,this paper focuses on the issues arising from train traction calculation of Xichangnan to Panzhihua section of ChengKun railway.The contents of the paper include:(1)The vertical section of the known rail section is converted to get the simplified vertical section.(2)When solving the running time and speed curves,it takes considerable time to fill in the curve table while calculating running time and velocity curv e is the key research object,use program to realize the resultant force calculation table and graph drawing.(3)when processing rolling stock data and slope data,an algorithm which can draw running speed and time curves is established.Programming with MATLAB,interval speed and time curves can be calculated and v-sand t-scurve are mapped.As a result,each sector's upward average speed is 39.9km/h while the average time is 13.4min;downward average speed is 46.4km/h while the average time is 11.6min.The feature of this paper is that it solved the trial questions on each slope in a smart way,allowing the program to achieve a more desirable result.In addition,using trial to simulate realistic problem produces more realistic,practical and effective data,which provides Data reference and solution to other related problems.
