Today, however, limited land resources, rapid expansion of the urban population, as well as change the occupants of ideas and other factors, has been constantly affecting residential space design development and growth.In the rapid development of urbanization, a large number of rural population into cities, urban land resources are increasingly strained, housing prices soared urban housing situation, how to improve the current lack of small apartment living space existing in the design, the small apartment living space can be efficiently rational use, to improve the housing shortage and improve the comfort of the living space has a very important significance.From the basic residential building design theory, this paper analyzes the occupants values, lifestyles and living needs, and learn from the apartment space design diverse experience in determining background small apartment house, on the basis of the intended use, through a small area residential, LOFT small apartment, SOHO small apartment living space to analyze three kinds of small apartment living space design, residential design small apartment found existing deficiencies by integrating functional area, change the spatial structure, flexibility and other aspects of living space improvements design, put forward reasonable suggestions for improvement for future small apartment living space design.
