Facing the increasingly serious environmental and energy issues, people are paying more and more attention to pollution-free green electric development. To brushless DC motor driven based environmentally friendly hybrid vehicles and pure electric vehicles, not only improve the motor vehicle energy efficiency, and greatly reducing the exhaust emissions. The electric drive and control system is the core of electric vehicle, DC brush motor due to its high efficiency, high torque, low volume, is widely used in the drive system of electric vehicle. The traditional speed regulation system is using the conventional PID control algorithm. It has simple, stable performance, convenient adjustment, high reliability. But, in fact, most of the speed regulation process have different degrees of nonlinear, parameter change and the uncertainty of the mathematical model of the system. Tuning PID control parameters is very difficult, poor robustness, therefore, it’s difficult to achieve the optimal state under field conditions in the actual production. Fuzzy PID control method is a good control method, which has a good control for complex and uncertain model system,it can give simple and effective control, improve fuzzy control robustness, good dynamic response, rising time, overstrike characteristics. This paper proposed a improved Fuzzy PID controller to control speed of Brushless DC motor. And the establishment of the system simulation model in MATLAB, by adjusting parameters to obtain satisfactory control characteristics. The results confirm a fuzzy PID controller than conventional PID controller has better control performance. Finally, based on completing TMS320LF2407A drive control systemdesign, a detailed description of its hardware will be made here.
