With the increasing international oil crisis and people for the growth of awareness of environmental protection, the electric car has been more and more get the attention of the countries. Electric cars for can really achieve "zero emissions" and become one of the important developing direction of the car. Compared with the traditional cars, electric car battery as the main power, it’s on the insulation of the electric vehicle performance put forward higher requirements. In order to ensure that the electric car driving safety and passengers’ personal safety, to develop a real-time, accurate and reliable monitoring the state of the electric insulation device appears very necessary.Firstly, This paper introduces the current for dc system insulation monitoring method and electric cars as the main body of the measuring method to measure chip, after summarized the advantages and disadvantages, then put forward a kind of insulation detection algorithm based on pure electric vehicles, its characteristic is signal through the central control chip, using the method of bias resistors to achieve detection. As a result, improve the accuracy of the calculation of insulation resistance. Through the analysis of the principle diagram of the control by the method calculation formula for computing the insulation resistance, and with the ARM chip as the core to carry out the hardware circuit design.After an introduction to the compilation environment of system software, choose the KEIL software write software program, the overall program with selective branching structure connection structure. Based on the description of the flow charts of main program and subroutines, this paper introduces the function of each module program implemented.In part of hardware and software are introduced, the control platform of the core physical figure gives the relevant pictures and descriptions, and for debugging in several main problems are analyzed and the solution is given. Based on the measured error analysis of experimental data, in order to show that the insulation monitoring device for the accuracy of measuring insulation resistance and reliability.
