The development of mobile communication technology has promoted the rapid development of mobile Internet, the Internet of things is getting closer and closer to our life. In recent years, smart healthcare, smart transportation, smart home, intelligent logistics and so on and the wisdom of urban studies and application is very extensive, networking is quietly changing our life, make people’s life more convenient and comfortable. Intelligent home (Home Smart) is the Internet of things products proposed earlier, but so far to achieve functional and intelligent degree is relatively weak in one area. Therefore, it is of great theoretical and practical significance to study the construction of smart home system and a breakthrough point of the research of the Internet of things.Smart home to Internet communication technology, embedded technology, intelligent sensor network as the carrier, original home system upgrade, and add the appropriate monitoring and information acquisition device, to achieve the timely access to the home and remote control functions. The present smart home is mainly reflected in the field of intelligent socket, intelligent remote control, sensors network information collection, intelligent monitoring system, the future will appear more in the field of intelligent equipment, will also experience more intelligent on the existing foundation.This paper describes the current development of smart home products in China and abroad, the market demand for the current market survey, the use of questionnaires and interviews of the two surveys. According to the demand analysis of the design and implementation of the smart home system based on industrial PC platform. The system mainly consists of a central control platform, intelligent wireless sensor network, intelligent meter reading module, intelligent socket module and intelligent infrared remote control module and other components. This paper mainly introduced in detail based on IPC platform of smart home system design of the overall structure of the central control platform selection and advantages, the intelligent wireless sensor network, intelligent meter reading module, intelligent socket module and intelligent infrared remote control module module of chip selection and hardware circuit principle diagram and PCB design, hardware support for embedded software programming, background database, the algorithm and design, image recognition and image processing algorithm design, the central control platform and mobile client software design and interface design.
