Urban rail transit has entered a period of great development in China, and the impact on ancient buildings caused by urban rail transit vibration has become a new problem in today’s society. This paper took the upcoming opening Suzhou Rail Transit Line 4 as the background, and studied the influence of urban rail transit vibration on ancient buildings along it. The main contents and results are as follows:(1) Vibration source measurement was taken in Suzhou Rail Transit Line 2 to get five different sections of rail and sleepers vibration acceleration response when the the train through the tunnel. The influence of the linear and the speed on track structure vibration and vibration attenuated form under the different track structures is studied.(2) Ground vibration acceleration between Suzhou Rail Transit Line 2 Youlian-Panli Road interval was measurement to analyze attenuation law of horizontal and vertical ground vibration.(3) The dynamic finite element model of metro train and Fast Fourier Transform Algorithm were used to obtain the metro train excitation on the train, using the finite element analysis software ANSYS to establish a "tunnel- soil" three-dimensional model whose reasonable was proved by real data.(4) Present situation investigation and geological prospecting of Ancient buildings were taken along Suzhou Rail Transit Line 4 to obtain technical parameters for the finite element model. Tianxiangxiaozhu, Wenmiao and North Temple Pagoda were established three-dimensional "Tunnel- soil- ancient buildings " finite element model to analyze the influence of urban rail transit on ancient buildings, to verify the damping effect of the tenon node of wooden structure ancient buildings, to compare the effects of different vibration isolation barrier, and to put forward the safe distance of different types of ancient buildings from the center line of the tunnel.
