Air-cooled heat pump is a new way of heating, which combines the refrigeration function which is high heat transfer efficiency. This system can effectively improve the heating efficiency, and because of its good economical and comfortable, it can make the system widely used in urban and rural residential building. Because of China’s vast territory, regional climate differences between the north and the south, in the south of the Yangtze River the temperature is low and the humidity is high in the winter, the temperature in the north of the Yangtze River is lower. So frost formation on the outdoor heat exchanger is the main problem with ASHP, when it is operating in winter under certain weather conditions.Kunming has a mild climate, year-round spring. Winter outdoor environment temperature is less than 0 degrees Celsius and the average temperature in summer is about 20 degrees Celsius. There is suitable temperature, no cold weather like the northern winter, no frost problem. In addition, this system can according to the user’s daily conditions flexibly set room temperature and system start stop time, to further enhance the energy-saving effect and the thermal performance of the system.Air cooled heat pump system is able to gradually expand the scale of utilization of natural energy and renewable energy, air is one of the effective ways and to promote the use of air-cooled heat pump is also in line with the national energy saving and emission reduction, green building strategies.Based on these problems, the application of air cooled heat pump units in Kunming region research, and analysis of its feasibility and economy, and the combination of these conclusions, to guide its use in Kunming area.The thesis targets the Kunming University of Science and Technology College of management. Through the installation of the equipment, the construction of the experimental equipment, the normal operation of the equipment, the data of the test and analysis, and finally come to the conclusion. The main test data have the import and export temperature of each component of the unit, the temperature of the water inlet and outlet, the outdoor environment temperature, the humidity of the outdoor environment, the input power of the equipment, the water flow rate and so on. Under different seasonal conditions, through the calculation, the refrigerating capacity, the heat capacity and the refrigeration performance, thermal performance of the system are obtained.It can be seen from the test results of each season that the air-cooled heat pump has good thermal performance in temperate regions.In spring and autumn, the outdoor temperature is very suitable, the unit basically do not run, just open the window or open the indoor fresh air handling unit can ensure the indoor comfortable temperature and humidity.In the summer and winter, the average daily operation performance of the unit is good, winter even with short time of frost, compared to other regions of thermal efficiency to much higher.In temperate regions, the air-cooled heat pump has better adaptability than the cold area and cold area.Under various climatic conditions in Kunming area, the daily average COP of air cooled heat pump is between 3.704 and 4.12, energy saving effect is very good.Compared with the rated parameters of equipment, the result is not quite different. It shows that the application of air cooled heat pump in Kunming area is feasible.Based on feasibility, the article compares air-cooled heat pump system with chiller and oil fired hot water boiler for the initial investment and operating costs. The results show that the air cooled heat pump system is more energy saving than the other.Practical test analysis and economic comparison show that it is feasible to use air cooled heat pump air conditioning system in Kunming area. This can provide reference and guidance for the application of air source heat pump system in the local area and similar climate region.
