At present, the steel components of fabricated steel frame structures is prefabricated in the factory, then transport them to the construction site to be installed. The design is modulization, the production is standardization and the construction method is easier. It has high economic benefit. It is application in multilayer gauge and high rise steel structure. It is in line with the strategic requirements of development of green building, building industrialization and housing industrialization. It will be rapid development in the future. Flange tapping high-strength bolt connection is the main connection type of the structure. The forced mechanism and shear capacity of the connection type is unclear. There is few scholar make studing in domestic and overseas. So it is important to make the experimental etudy and einite element analysis.This paper takes the flange tapping high-strength bolt connection as research objects to make the experimental study and finite element analysis of the shear performance. The main contents are as follows:(1) It introduces the research history and current situation of the high strength bolt connection, this paper expounds the characteristics and advantages of the flange tapping high-strength bolt connection, as well as to the significance of studying the high strength bolt connection.(2) It introduces the shear performance, the design and calculation formula of shear bearing capacity and the related theoretical basis of high-strength bolt connection. Its theoretical basis mainly includes the connection of nonlinear problem and contact problem.(3) After the four groups of flange tapping experiment for shear performance of high strength bolt, compare with standard values to t he test results, describe the flange tapping high strength bolt shear stress mechanism and failure mode of connection,get the ultimate shear capacity of the flange tapping high-strength bolt connection at the stage of friction and pressures.(4) Through the finite element analysis and compared with the test results, further study the shear performance of the flange tapping High-strength bolt connection. By comparing the same bolt diameter and different connection plate thickness of the model to study the effect of connection plate thickness on the shear performance; By comparing the same connection plate thickness, different bolt diameter model to study the influence of bolt diameter on the shear performance.(5) According to the steel structure design stand ard <technical specification for steel structure high strength bolt connection>(JGJ80-2011), evaluation the shear performance of the flange tapping high strength bolt connection, the design formula of the shear bearing capacity are also proposed.
