High Strength Bolt connection is a connection method developed in recent years, it has simple construction, by good mechanical properties, resistance to fatigue, etc, play an important role in the structure connection.Traditional high strength bolts are made of high strength bolts, washers and high-strength high-strength nuts composition, requiring from the side of the connecting plate member is screwed into the bolt construction, then tighten the nut from the other side. This connection of the construction process is simple enough and it is difficult to adapt to connect some special cases (such as when the closure member is connected to the pipe nut inconvenient installation). To solve the above problem, a number of domestic and foreign steel works in the use of a new type of connection, it eliminates the need for high-strength nuts, in a connected plate member to replace the role of the tapping screw nut, this approach allows high strength bolts screwed directly from one side, which greatly simplifies the construction operations, and has more practical.High-strength nuts and fittings are made of different materials, can not be exactly the same as the nut, so there is such a connection failure mechanism and carrying capacity and other ambiguities. In this paper, the tensile properties of the new connections were studied and finite element analysis, thus providing a theoretical basis for the application of such a connection. Details are as follows:The plurality of sets of specimens were uniaxial tensile test specimens obtained load-deformation curve,bearing capacity limit,observed experimental phenomena and found that the final damage occurs within the thread tapping plate.The establishment of a corresponding finite element model analysis and refinement, then the finite element analysis results and test results were compared to verify the rationality of the finite element analysis.Theoretical analysis, made clear that the destruction process can be connected to the tension when pressed into the gap phase, the elastic and inelastic phase force force three phases, launched its tensile capacity calculation formula.Combined with the existing national norms of traditional high-strength bolts connecting acceptance performance requirements, the new recommendations put forward in the value of the connection webs minimum thickness. |
