The traditional speed regulating mode is widely used in the QTZ63 jack up tower crane. However, this method has many disadvantages small speed ratio low efficiency high energy consumption impact on the mechanical structure also control system by using a lot of contactors and intermediate relays to achieve frequent stop easy burning of contact resulting in equipment reliability maintenance workload increased.Through analysis working characteristics of tower crane, the article puts forward a method of variable frequency speed regulation based on PLC control to instead of the original speed control mode. It can increase the stability of the speed regulation system of tower crane. Selecting PLC and inverterand by realizing the tower crane detailed work process. Designing PLC program on the basis of tower crane safety performance requirements. According to the characteristics of the tower crane lifting amplitude rotation the three major agencies to formulate closed-loop vector control open loop vector control group U/f control scheme.Comparing the traditional speed control method with the variable frequency speed control method by MATLAB simulation.On this basis the paper discusses the reliability and stability of frequency control for the frequency control technology in more and more areas of the general use of.Using the advanced frequency conversion control technology and programmable control combination.The operation reliability compared with the traditional tower crane control system run more energy-saving efficient safe and reliable.
