The surface activity of sand is very low, loose scattered, no cohesion, shear strength and deformation resistance are important factors affecting performance of the roadbed. With the rapid development of the automotive industry, people gradually began to focus on the disposal of used tires, scrap tires processed into rubber particles, light weight, but also has good strength, elasticity and high frictional resistance. The incorporation of sand in the rubber, rubber forming-sand mixed soil can alter the mechanical properties of sand. This article was prepared by different contents of rubber-sand mixed soil specimens, each specimen triaxial tests under different confining pressures, the influence of rubber particles content of sand shear strength; particles flow through the discrete element 3D numerical simulation software to analyze the microscopic parameters on the rubber-sand mixed soil influence of macroscopic mechanical properties, and the following conclusions:(1) by triaxial experimental study results:the incorporation of certain rubber particles can improve the sand mixed soil cohesion, internal friction angle of resistance and shear strength.(2) through a large number of numerical simulation triaxial test, reached a different confining pressures Rubber-dimensional sand granules stress-strain curve, stress molar circular curve, simulation data and laboratory test results are basically consistent, reflect 3D particle flow simulation software triaxial test feasibility. On this basis, by PFC3D software simulation to determine the optimal amount of mixed soil, when the rubber content is about 20%, the rubber-sand mixed soil shear strength maximum.(3) The numerical simulation PFC3D, change a few microscopic parameters studied microscopic parameters on the macroscopic properties of the mixed soil.
