Along with the development of economy and progress in science and technology, there were numerous structures and component of complex shape in modern building engineering recently. Due to the complexity of construction process, construction method and construction technology, the risk probability of this kind of structure is higher than others during construction stage. The construction monitoring of the building structure can effectively prevent the accidents in construction process. Therefore, the construction monitoring has become an imperative research Subject.With monitoring the component of relatively simple section and regular shape, previous research of construction monitoring was only involved in bridge engineering, high-rise building and long-span spatial steel structure, was not refer to large profiled component in building engineering. And there is few research on construction monitoring in building engineering involved with curved prestressed concrete box girder. Due to the boundary conditions, load condition and construction methods of box girder in building engineering have different from in other areas, combined with engineering practice of a student activity center venue,the monitoring scheme was made and conducted to ensure the safety in erection process for the curved box girder which were subjected to large force at the same time. The deformations and stress of the roof box girder in each construction process were monitored, and the measured field date was analyzed. The analysis result indicates that the box girder is mainly in normal range and the strain and deformations of the controlling section remain in safety ranges during the global construction process. Construction simulation for a butterfly-shaped roof structure of the venue was conducted based on Midas Gen finite element software.Simultaneously, construction simulation for a butterfly-shaped roof structure of the venue was conducted based on Midas Gen finite element software.The results derived by monitoring and simulation were compared.Results show that the simulation method was validated by the agreeme nt between results obtained by monitoring and simulation.The stress and displacement of box girder are in control and the construction scheme can satisfy the need of construction.And this thesis successfully completed the construction monitoring of the roo f box girder.The work of the thesis provided the technical support for understanding structure performance of curved roof box girder in building engineering further, implementing construction control reasonably and ensuring the safety and quality of the e ngineering construction. The research results have important reference about design and construction of the similar large profiled component in building engineering.
