Power industry, as the basic industry of the national economy, is an important symbol to measure the level of a country’s development. With the continuous improvement of the scientific level, the thermal power unit is also facing the development of large capacity, high parameter and high degree of automation. Supercritical thermal power generation technology has become one of the most used power generation technology because of its high power generation efficiency, energy saving, low cost and so on. Compared to subcritical coal-fired power generation technology, ultra supercritical thermal power unit power plant equipment structure and thermal system complexity will increase accordingly, the degree of automation requirements are also getting higher and higher, so the operation level of power plant professional and technical personnel also need to improve the training.In order to ensure the safe and stable operation of the unit, it is necessary to simulate and compare the characteristics of the subcritical and supercritical units. The simulation modeling of thermal power unit not only can make the operation personnel familiar with the situation and learning experience, but also can simulate the unit fault situation, and optimize and control. Taking into account the ultra supercritical thermal power units and sub critical thermal power unit simulation in the biggest difference is the steam water system, this paper for 600MW supercritical thermal power unit steam water system of modeling and simulation, selection Simuworks software system for the simulation platform. Mainly introduced the development background and research status of ultra subcritical and supercritical thermal power unit simulation machine, differences between different unit simulation machine in structure design, by comparing the interpretation of different units in the modeling and Simulation of existing problems, put forward the research content and the purpose of the analysis. According to the specific physical laws, the mathematical model of the water cooling wall and the starting separator and the general heat exchanger in the steam water system is established to reflect the functional characteristics of the steam water system. While taking into account the steam water system and other systems there is a strong coupling, the related combustion process in furnace, the mathematical model of the turbine body and start up the drain tank is introduced briefly in this paper. Then in the Simuworks simulation platform, through computer language to construct the object model, which is, in accordance with the process of the supercritical unit soda process and system to build the simulation system of the steam and water system, after the debugging and simulation, under different conditions, the static and dynamic characteristics of steam water system were compared and analyzed.
