Sluice is an important part of our national infrastructure which makes a significant contribution in flood control and drainage, disaster preparedness and mitigation, while in agriculture irrigation, living and ecological environment and so on. But to some extent, the sluice constructed on the area under the condition of the earthquake is an invisible source of secondary disasters, which endangers safety of the surrounding residents’s life and property. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out a research on dynamic response performance of the sluice when an earthquake takes place. At the same time, the form of sluice which built on the foundation of piles is fairly common during the construction of the sluice in our country. However, during the design of piles, the contribution made by the foundation on sharing parts of the upper load is usually ignored. As a reasult, the sulice is excessively safe, which results the waste in the construction costs.According to the two aspects described above, the following analysis is made combining with the actual project:Above all, before the analysis of the model of the sluice, we study the finite element theory which runs through the entire paper. While, we also study the material constitutive model used in the model, constraints and contacts during the components of the model.Secondly, we make the dimensional finite element model of Wei Gong sluice and analyze the trend in displacement and stress of the piles and chamber structure under different conditions, while, we analyze the reasons resulting in this phenomenon.Thirdly, we conduct the dynamic analysis of seismic action by response spectrum method. While, we make the comparison of the results under the seismic action by model response spectrum method and Quasi-static method to find the diferences of the two methods in analysis of the seismic action.At last, thinking over the role of the upper structure, we analyze the interaction during the chamber, foundtion and piles under three different conditions. Moreover, we analyze the pile’s load sharing ratio along with the change of the length and elastic modulus of the plie and the elastic modulus of the foundation to get its variation.As a result, we put forward the method which is suitable for the actual project to save the construction costs.
