| This paper made a brief introduction to the theory and types of photovoltaic system; It also reviewed the achievements on PV research both at home and abroad. Referring to the PV systems which had been connected to the gridin Nanjing, JiangSu province, the issues were discussed in the paper, including the distribution of solar energy in Nanjing, the methods of PV stations’connection to the grid, protection of anti-isolated islands, reactive power compensation and electric power quality. In this paper, the main researches are as follows.1) Analyze the theory and the present status of development of Photovoltaic power generation;2) Analyze the solar energy resources in Nanjing area and the best tilt angle of Solar panel, referring to the example of LiuHe agricultural greenhouses photovoltaic power station;3) Analyze small-scale or middle-scale photovoltaic power stations’voltage class, connection method to the grid, compensation of reactive power and the protection to prevent isolated islands according to the photovoltaic power station in Nanjing area;4) Analyze the electric quality of PV stations when connected to the grid, referring to the example of the JiangSu Electric Power Company’s second photovoltaic power generation project. |
