Compared to the frame structures, the frame-shear wall structures have the advantages of layout flexibilit y and strong lateral st iffness,and it can form larger space than the shear wall structures. Therefore frame-shear wall structure is widely used. This two structures’ force state is quite different,and the design concept of the mult i lines of defence and the safety of the frame-shear wall structures under severe earthquake has been the research hotspot of domest ic and foreign experts.This thesis used high-rise RC frame-shear wall structure and frame-coupled shear wall structures as objects of study, exploring the seismic behavior of structures under earthquake, studied the safet y of buildings, which designed according to Chinese codes and the seismic conceptual design principles ’ performance situat ion in the earthquake. The main contents are as follows:(1) Mechanical properties introduction of the frame-shear wall structures and the frame-coupled shear wall structures is made, and the summary of previous research related to the frame –shear wall structures is done. And described the application of the incremental dynamic analysis method.(2) Used dynamic nonlinear finite element so ftware PERFORM-3D to model the structures, specifically described the beams, columns, shear walls nonlinear element model selection, and used the existing column, shear wall, coupled wall, frame-shear wall structure test data to verify the model. The results showed that PERFORM-3D can accurately simulate the frame-shear wall structures. The results have certain guiding significance for the structural design.(3) Four structures, one 15-story frame-shear wall structure and three frame-coupled shear wall structures with different height of coupling beams, designed by using PKPM according to the current specificat ions. Four structures analyzed by using pushover analysis method with PERFORM-3D. The results showed that frame-shear wall structures, designed according to Chinese codes, can meet the specificat ion requirements, but the structure may occur serious damage. Since the inelastic deformation developed, the frame-coupled shear walls occurs internal force redistribution, shear wall is always the primary lateral force resist ing structure.(4) Four structures analyzed by using pushover analysis method and dynamic time history analysis method with PERFORM-3D. Given the interlayer displacement angle under the seismic wave, the plast ic development process of components and the energy consumpt ion data of structural members.(5) Briefly introduced the incremental dynamic analysis method,the division o f performance levels seismic performance and the interstory drift ’s limit value,and selected 10 seismic waves to study the four structures by using incremental dynamic analysis method and completed the seismic performance evaluat ion.
