Until Presently, due to the developed needs of the "12th Five-Year Plan" and planned to "13th Five-Year Plan " on guidance, Xinjiang power grid is rapidly development in a stage, especially for the 750kV EHV power grid, is with characteristics of higher voltage and strongger reliability, and quickly growing for the main network architecture in the Xinjiang region.However, due to the renewal of the network self-detection and diagnosis technology is relatively slow. The detecting techniques are still in the early stages of state maintenance for 220kV power equipment, and fault diagnoses are at the starting point for 750kV EHV power transformers. So it is necessary to carry out exploratory research and application in this area.In this paper, combined with the characteristics of Xinjiang power grid equipment fault, it studys ultrasonic power detection and diagnosis principle of ultra high voltage transformer diagnosis technology in the oil dissolved gas. Combined with the power grid, it promotes further two technologies that oil dissolves gas test and ultrasonic partially discharges, accumulates a wealth of experience of practical engineering applications that are detection and diagnosis of ultra high voltage, develop a good foundation for combined fault diagnosis of two detection techniques. Finally, the application cases of the fault detection and diagnosis technology of the super high voltage power transformer are introduced.
