Smart Substation got rapidly development and widespread attention in recent years,.which profit from the the continuous development of information technology and standardization technology. Smart Substation,it’s main features is process-level digitalization and standardization.Smart substation using Ethernet communication, replacing traditional parallel cable, effectively simplify the equipment connection mode and the structure of the system, but also can improve the reliability of system operation. However,the current smart substation still use conventional substation relay protection mode, the disperse arranged at intervals, the only measure of relay protection and control signal digital transmission, synchronous sampling by the merging unit, and is no longer a protection device directly control and play digital characteristics, but can’t reflect the technical advantages of intelligent substation information sharing, can not meet the needs of intelligent substation for the higher requirements of the relay protection system. So,it’s necessary to study a construction mode by useing advanced technique includs the information sharing etc. Study a new The method and results of this paper are important in theoretic and engineering.This thesis according to the characteristics of smart substation, form a unified integrated information platform by integrating various special information platforms which are used for specific applications or functions to achieve the information sharing in the horizontal direction (control layer) and vertical direction (control layer, spacer layer, process layer), eliminate information island of substation, provide basis and conditions for solving the interoperability and compatibility problems of different devices.Through optimization, adjustment and reconstruction of the existing functions of the substation, to achieve optimal configuration of the functions, to provide a good information platform and technical support for relay protection. This thesis using existing technology, research on the construction scheme of the protection system which consists of bay-level protection, substation-level protection and wide-area-level protection based on the physical terminal. Based on this construction,study the configuration and principle of the protection system which consists of bay-level、 substation-level and widearea-level,based on the multi information between the station and the station.,and provide the analysis of the hardware and software requirements of protection system which consists of bay-level、substation-level and widearea-level.Finally, the feasibility of the scheme is verified by simulation test.
