Along with the rapid growth of the access capacity of large scale wind power base, the net loss of the power grid is significantly increasing, owing to its long distance transportation and the characteristics of randomness and volatility. Therefore, many papers propose that high energy loads, which is adjustable and interruptible, can be brought into the peak regulating control system to realize the coordinated control of load and power source. Furthermore, the dual goals of energy-saving and local consumptive of new energy will be achieved. However, peak load regulation mode based on source-load coordination considering high energy loads involves too many aspects like power network, power source and high energy loads. It also has bad relevance. Those have brought a lot of problems to the comprehensive assessment of the operation modes of dispatching. In conclusion, it is necessary to carry out the comprehensive evaluation of energy saving effect of combined peak regulation.Firstly, this paper analyzes the operating characteristics and the peak regulating demand of power system of large scale wind power access to the grid. On the basis, the feasibility of high energy loads involving to peak regulating and the impacts of power network, power source and high energy loads on power energy saving are put forward. Secondly, this paper presents three typical peak load regulation modes based on source-load coordination, and summarizes the comprehensive influence on energy saving. Thirdly, a matter element extension method based on cooperative game theory is raised. Using this method, energy saving influence factors mentioned above are quantified to form a series of power energy saving evaluation indexes, which constitute power energy saving evaluation system and evaluation models. Finally, the evaluation model proposed in this paper is used to assess the power energy saving of peak load regulation mode based on source-load coordination in same regional power grid. And the obtained comprehensive evaluation values in different running modes verifies the validity and feasibility of this method.In summary, the comprehensive evaluation method of the source-load combined peak regulating proposed in this paper considers the impacts of power load, network and source, quantifies the power energy saving effect under the load and source combined peak regulating mode. Not only does it offer references for dispatchers making peak regulating plans, it actually has an important significance to improve the level of power saving.
