Kunshan city is one of the most economically developed regions.which is located in the territory of Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province and crisscrossed rivers clouds, with the typical style of Jiangnan Water Village, the functions of Yushan Wei river network are flood control, drainage, irrigation, shipping, landscape etc. The rapid development of Kunshan City’s economy causes serious deterioration of water quality, black odor of water body and other water environmental problems in some rivers, which not only affect the normal life of residents, will also restrict the sustainable development of social economy of kunshan. Among the old city district Yushan Wei River area, Hongqiao creek, Wangshan river.Zhitang river, Houjie river and Fengche creek are more serious pollution, for a long period of poor water quality at class V even worse class V standard, so It intends to pass through Zhangjiagang waterway diversion to Yushan Wei and pumping through the peripheral mouth, realizing the whole region leading water exchange.In order to improve the efficiency of water diversion, This paper use MIKE11 software to simulate old city of Kunshan Yushan Wei river area which takes as the research object. Using the plane one dimensional hydrodynamic model simulate Water transfer process under constant water level in the study area, to determine the opening of the overflow weir scheme of maanshan road and Operation schedule of each gate, to determine the diversion discharge and total quantity from clear water source. And we can choose a better plan by comparing the water change effect and economic cost of the various cases.Then using the model of one dimensional hydrodynamic water quality model simulates the diffusion and transformation of pollutants,checking whether the water quality up to the standard.The results show that as long as under the enough conditions of the hydrologic and topographic data, using MIKE11 software to simulate water exchange scheme and water quality of Yushan Wei River is feasible.Studing on the water exchange program draws the following conclusions:Considering the effect of water exchange and economic cost, "O type" program, the I type of water saving and electricity saving is better than the II type scheme, but In terms of improving the water quality.the II type scheme is better than I type, "∏ type" program.the fast economic type with the lowest economic cost, the best water exchange effect, and the best improvement of the water quality, but is not conducive to the stability of the river bed. All things considered, the rapid economic type of "∏ type" is the best scheme.
