In modern society, With the deterioration of environment and the aggravation of energy crisis, the renewable energy exploration and utilization are given increasing attention by many countries around the world. Wind power is a sort of inexhaustible and renewable resource, which has important significant to alleviate the tense situation of scarce energy problem.Now the installed capacity and generating capacity is growing, the wind power is developing in the new direction of increasing single-machine capacity,exploiting offshore wind and Intelligent monitoring in wind farm.Most of wind turbines are located in remote areas with poor working conditions, which easily leads to damages on wind power installation and have a bad effect on production.Therefore, it is of great significance to develop a remote condition monitoring on wind turbine generators.Compared with the wind power generation system based on DFIG, the PMSG has features of higher generation efficiency,simpler structure and higher operation reliability.This thesis reports a comprehensive research effort on the simulation platform of direct-drive permanent magnet synchronous wind power system and research a wind power monitoring system based on Lab VIEW.Firstly, the thesis studies the operation principle of wind power generation units, particularly analyses the structure and working principle of permanent magnet direct drive wind power generation unit. According to the actual demand of wind power generation system, the monitoring system is determined, and the overall monitoring scheme of wind power generation is proposed to realize the real-time analysis of the operating characteristics of the wind power system.At the same time, it points out the important significance of the wind power simulation experiment system, and focuses on the wind speed modeling.Then the overall structure of the wind power monitoring system is designed in this thesis. On the hardware side, the relative sensor and High speed data acquisition card are touched meanwhile,it designs the signal conditioning circuit,builds the simulation monitoring platform for permanent magnet synchronous direct drive wind power generation system. On the software side, it turns to use Lab VIEW as the monitoring system design language,and points out the advantages of Lab VIEW application in the monitoring system.Then the Lab VIEW is used to structure the monitoring system, meanwhile,it designs the program start module, user log module, parameter configuration module, data acquisition and display module, I/O module, database system module, alarm system module, signal analysis system and remote monitoring module.Different from conventional monitoring system, this system has more functions, besides it uses TDMS file and Server SQL mixed programming to manage system, data storage and data playback. At the same time, the monitoring system uses Socket Remote and Panels Data multi technology integration of the system to realize remote monitoring.Finally, the monitoring object of the permanent magnet direct drive wind turbine is used as the monitor object of this system.The system’s practicability and accuracy are verified by the test of the motor power, the speed of the motor, the test of the remote monitoring and the database system. At the same time, the real time control of the motor is realized by PLC communication.This monitoring system has a friendly interface and perfect function. It has important practicability and reference in the field of wind power monitoring.
