Due to the large population and urban congestion, it is directly related to people’s living standard and economic development to maintain the normal and efficient operation of urban public transportation system. Therefore, the research on buses and subways that represent urban public transport network has attracted widely concerned.This paper studies the buses and subways’ un-weighted network,the buses’ weighted network and the buses and subways’ weighted composite network. The author analyzes the statistical characteristics of the above mentioned network.In addition, robustness of all kinds of network is also studied when those network suffer from random attack and deliberate attack. Finally, the author takes the actual situation into consideration and establishes bus and subway transit path query system. In this paper, the chief study task and fruits are:Firstly, the three models(Space L、Space P、Space R) are used to establish the Nanjing bus transport network and the Nanjing subway network respectively, then the author compares and analyzes the statistical characteristics of the respective topology in such three cases. On this basis, two kinds of weighted network and weighted composite network are established, which will be studied to show the difference between the composite weighted network and the single one.Secondly, the author does some research on the robustness of the three modeling Nanjing bus and subway network. And then respectively analysis the network their global efficiency and maximal connected sub-graph variance ratio from random attack and deliberate attack according to the degree ordered in descend. At the same time, the weighted composite network mentioned above is also studied about its robustness in the similar way. It’s easy to find that the weighted composite network is better than single network on robustness by comparing them. It is concluded that the network has good robustness under random attack, but it is vulnerable to malicious attack. Besides, the author also studies the robustness of the part of Nanjing bus network under the construction of some certain sites. It’s revealed that the average shortest path length and overall efficiency will maintain at a higher level and maintain network stability after a detour, as long as we may find the new station replacing the original one within the reasonable range.Thirdly, the author establishes bus and subway transit path query system and does some analysis on the relationship between weighted network and query system. In the query system, once the lack of line network, people can’t know the relationship of the sites and the lines, similarly once the lack of station network, people can’t know the relationship between the stations, so the network is very important for a query system and is the source of the internal data relationship of the query system. In addition, the information of the network can be reflected directly through the system query results, so that people can clearly understand the relationship between the network and the query system.
