The development of transportation,ocean exploration and malitary motorization promote the satellite communication technology to move in the direction of mobile communication.Then, "SOTM SYSTEM" was put forward and rapidly developed.In this paper,we will narrate the application of SOTM system in truck carrier, shortly introduce the theory,structure,opera--tion mode and process of SOTM system, we will focus on the exploitation of the "Earth Station Monitoring System" which is the monitor part of SOTM.The "Earth Station Monitoring System" mainly includes power, keyboard and display,beaconing machine,serial communication and control system. This paper will introduce step down,filter and voltage regulator of power;analysis of the keyboard scanning way and mode,stability analysis and implementation of display detailedly;at the same time,we will recom--mend the beacon work-principle,the collect process of AGC and the realization of operatio--nal amplifier between beaconing machine and control system in this paper. What’s more,we will fucos on the control system, analysis the relationship between the three coordinate system,deduce the theoretical formula of azimuth and pitching angle as well as their correc--tion schemes. Meanwhile, this paper will emphasize the compensation algorithm of rolling angle error according to the structural characteristics of vehicle-SOTM and provide the compensation schemes as well as their simulation in MATLAB.This system uses modular design method,introduce each module’s function principle and choose realization scheme of each module,at the same time,we may exploit corresponding software system to control the vehicle-SOTM work as the function procedure defined.Then,we will test the coordination between every modules after connect these interfaces of all the modules, debug the SOTM system’s overall performance on and on. Finally, we proceed three-dimensional simulation test and field test with communication van to checkout stability,robustness and practicality of this system.
