With the development of the western development strategy implementation,in the central and western mountainous areas,the construction of the tunnel met unprecedented opportunities for development. However, because of the complexity of the geological and construction conditions, with the growing of the construction of the tunnel engineering,safety accident comes,this will not only cause huge economic losses,also causes the personal safety of tunnel workers. Under this background, the safety of the tunnel project is getting more and more attention of people, therefore, how to ensure safety in the process of tunnel construction is very worthy of study.Combination of the Liuguantun tunnel construction in Shanghai-Kunming railway passenger dedicated line,by studying the principle and technical parameters of radar, based on radar receives the echo time, amplitude and waveform information, such as to determine the structure of underground media and the position of the buried body and form. Through the analysis of the typical radar profile, the constraints of the radar antenna and whether the coupling constraints, the radar to detect near there is water to make a summary about metal objects and constraints, discusses the radar signal processing technology.
