As the global climate change will pose serious challenges on the living environment, many practices of low-carbon urban construction activities have carried out at home and abroad. But the low-carbon urban construction in Mountain cities is lack of low-carbon planning methods to adapt to the mountain features. So to explore the low-carbon planning methods to adapt to the mountain city is urgent and important, and it’s also the research background of this article.The Research of Urban Carbon Cycle aims at achieving a future of low-carbon-city even no-carbon-city by exploring the direction for the mitigation of Global Warming, amount and mechanism of urban carbon flux, and put forward the approach of effective carbon management.It is important in theory to study how Urban Land layout affects the urban space performance and urban carbon storage and flux due to the impact on residents transport forms and needs by Urban Land layout. This paper explores the land layout features and planning strategies of mountain city based on the "carbon cycle" by reflecting it.The paper contents 6 sections, the structure of it is as follows.PartⅠintroduces the research background, purpose and meaning, as well as research content and research methods.PartⅡsummaries the basic concepts and theories. This section ascertains the research methods and direction by analyzing the topic of this paper, then summarize the related theories including Urban Carbon Cycle and Low-Carbon Planning and research and practice, finds out the progress and shortcoming of present study.Part III have constructed the layout of urban land use evaluation framework based on the carbon cycle optimization. In this part, the article first analysis the relationship between elements in the city carbon cycle process and in the urban land use layout system, secondly, it analysis the carbon cycle of the two levels of urban land use layout elements, define the carbon cycle optimization ideal layout mode, and finally establish the layout of urban land use evaluation framework based on the carbon cycle optimization.Part IV and Part V analysis the "carbon cycle" of the land layout in mountain city.Part IV have a comprehensive evaluation on the characteristics of the land layout of the mountain city, from the perspective of the carbon cycle. First of all, on the basis of summing up the mountain city land layout features,this article have evaluated the mountain urban land use layout characteristics.Then, it draw out that the general layout characteristics of the mountain city overall is conducive to urban carbon cycle optimization and to summary its layout strategy is essential.Part V focuses on the evaluation and integration of the mountain city planning strategy. Using the layout of urban land use evaluation framework based on the carbon cycle optimization, the article evaluate the general land layout strategies of mountain cities, analysis the strategies combined with its own characteristics of the mountain cities, and at last, propose the mountain city land layout comprehensive low-carbon strategies, relate success stories for corroboration.Part VI is the concluding part, first make a brief summary of the research achievements and shortcomings of the paper, then put forward to the future development of low-carbon space planning of Mountain cities.
