The main content of this paper is about improving the design of Solid Micro-thruster and its tester. This article mainly focus on three different parts of works:Designing a new structure to prevent the heat conduction Solid Micro-thruster. Using finite-element analysis to prove its efficiency. The new structure was added on so that the thermal losses of Solid Micro-thruster could be decreased. This structure includes a vacuum lagging and a SiC lagging. This article also proved the laggings’ ability to prevent heat conduction with Modal and Transient Structural analysis. To conduct the analysis, building up both single and array of Solid Micro-thruster’s model. Also compared the result with thrusters that do not have laggings. Proved the result’s grid independency and step independency.Designing a tester for solid Micro-thruster. Design two different types of tester’s shoe plate according to the needs of testing. Run simulations to test its reaction to signals. Bring a minor- in-size and more stabilized structure basing on the analysis of researches that have been done before. The analysis had point out that the main factor influences the tester’s efficiency is the shoe plate. Designed two different types of shoe plate : square and triangle. Run simulations to test their mechanical behavior. Proved the result’s grid independency and step independency.Deigning two different types of shoe plate which is more precise in test result but can test lesser thrusters. Also done research works to chose which kind of material to use in order to build these shoe plates. Run simulations to test their mechanical behavior.
