In the face of increasingly rigorous world energy shortages and higher requirement for the emission regulations, hydrogen internal combustion engine has become a research hotspot in recent years for its less emissions, rich fuel source, relatively low cost.The development of the electronic control unit(ECU) of hydrogen internal combustion engine is an important link in the process of hydrogen internal combustion engine development.With the augmentation of the control system hardware, the function of electronic control system is more and more rich, the electronic control unit(ECU) development process has become more complicated.The development of Control strategy of the development of electronic control unit(ECU) has become more important and difficult.To shorten the development cycle and save the development cost, rapid control prototyping technology is applied in the development process of the electronic control system. Rapid control prototyping technology provides a higher degree of confidence of system simulation method for research and validation of the complex control algorithm, realized the development and validation to synchronize. It effectively reduced the development cost, shorten the development cycle.The V development mode populared in embedded system currently has been introduced into the ECU project of hydrogen internal combustion engine. Using the rapid control prototyping technology in the early part of the electronic control unit(ECU) development, through rapid prototyping platform PROtroni C connecting actual control object/external environment to closed loop control circuit, the rapid changes and generate run in real time controller model of hardware, testing the performance of the control algorithm, realizing the development of the electronic control unit(ECU). Through this method we can greatly reduce development costs and shorten the development cycle.In this paper, the whole scheme of the rapid control prototype of hydrogen internal combustion engine ECU based on the PROtroniC has been put forward.In MATLAB/Simulink software, the temperature, pressure and rotational speed sensor signal processing module has been designed and the electronic throttle control model, the hydrogen injection control model and ignition control model has been set up. We analyzes the hydrogen internal combustion engine ignition and hydrogen injection timing. Analyzed the control logic of hydrogen internal combustion engine, using Stateflow to describe the control strategy of hydrogen internal combustion engine, realize hydrogen internal combustion engine starting control, normal operation control. The control parameters of every working condition were studied.At the end, we set up a hydrogen internal combustion engine testing platform, and used it to test, verify the electronic control unit(ECU). Hydrogen internal combustion engine could starte and run stabely.
