Thick-film ratio meter is a high-linearity, high-electrical performance and high physical potentiometer circuits, applied in high-precision potentiometer device. When the thick film potentiometer is put into the device, the electric brush position where the device and thick-film ratio meter contacts would change, and the contacted potentiometer resistance would change accordingly, thus the required linearity variation index range should be controlled within-2.0~+1.3; Furthermore, the thick-film ratio meter electrical performance indexes should be consistent with the following requirements: the voltage coefficient≤±0.2%,the power dissipation coefficient≤±0.2%,the thick-film ratio meter physical index-wearability≥25 times. The circuits electrical testing parameters should be qualified after thermal impact,humidity test and hammer test.This research was aimed at 2 objectives: One objective was to conduct research on Thick-film ratio meter design methods,and make reasonable adjustments of the resistances dimensions and benchmark resistances dimensions that were of the thick-film ratio meter design layout. And through the circuits development and verification, the after-adjustment layout design was proved completely satisfied with high-linearity requirements. The second objective was to do sample manufacture and certain performance indexes comparison out of the varied thick-film potentiometer resistance pastes chosen, and finally to select a most suitable thick-film potentiometer resistance paste which could totally comply with both the high electrical performance and the high physical performance requirements.
