With the deepening of the electric power reform, smart grid has become a top priority in the development of power system. However, with the rapid development of smart grid construction, the security problem is increasingly outstanding. Especially, after entering into the network communication era, the security and privacy protection problem of the big data in smart grid is increasingly highlighted. On the one hand, the standard security protocols used in the RSA public key algorithm cannot meet the requirement of the commercial passwords algorithm adopted by the power data transmission in smart grid. On the other hand, the reliable transmission is a challenging issue when a large number of data acquisition terminal parallel access to smart grid. In this paper, a network voltage monitor system is developed by using SM2 encryption algorithm which is issued by the ministry of state administration of the commercial passwords. The main research results are as follows:Based on the understanding of the cryptography foundation, the advantages and disadvantages of the current mainstream cipher algorithm are compared, and the mathematics theory foundation of elliptic curve cryptographic algorithm is investigated. Then, the principle of SM2 encryption/decryption algorithm and SM3 hash algorithm are also investigated based on the SM2 specification public key algorithm published by the state password administration. Software implementation of the SM3 hash algorithm and SM2 encryption/decryption algorithm is also achieved by using C language and OpenSSL security algorithms library. As a result, the operation efficiency of cryptographic algorithms is improved. Last but not the least, a hardware system and an architecture model of the Network voltage monitor are also designed by using the SM2 encryption algorithm. In view of the data security threats in smart grid data acquisition terminal, the security communication protocol of the network voltage monitor is planned. The SM2 encryption/decryption algorithm and the SM3 hash algorithm are embedded into the microprocessor ATmega128 and the security of the data communication between the network voltage monitor in smart grid and PC server is achieved.The performance test of network voltage monitor demonstrates that the software to realize the encryption/decryption data transmission can achieve the same result of using the existing hardware. Furthermore, the network power monitor using the SM2 encryption algorithm has high security, accuracy and practicability and can achieve the expected effect of smart grid data real-time monitoring.
