In the smart grid,smart meters collect fine-grained power consumption information from users in real time and send it to the control center periodically.Then control center uses the collected power consumption information for power generation forecasting,real-time pricing,and demand response.Because the user’s fine-grained power consumption information contains personal privacy,if a power consumption data exposure occurs,it will affect the user’s use,thereby restricting the development of the smart grid.Therefore,security is a prerequisite for the stable operation and development of smart grids.This paper focuses on three core requirements to ensure the security of smart grid: authentication,data integrity and confidentiality.First of all,an efficient revocable identity based key insulated signature sc heme is proposed to achieve smart meter authentication.In our scheme,key insulated mechanism is used to minimize the damage caused by key exposure,and elliptic curve scalar multiplication is used to replace bilinear pairing to improve the authentication efficiency.Our scheme is proved to be secure in the random oracle model with the assumption of the Elliptic Curve Discrete Logarithm Problem(ECDLP).Secondly,an efficient multi-dimensional data aggregation scheme for smart meters is proposed,In the scheme,a super increasing sequence is used to represent multi-dimensional power consumption data,a homomorphic encryption technology based on elliptic curve is used to reduce the aggregation cost,and a data masking method is designed to protect the privacy of users’ power consumption data.Computational analysis shows that our scheme has less cost than other schemes in computation and communication,which is suitable for smart meters with limited computational capability.Besides,our scheme achieves authentication,data integrity and confidentiality.Finally,a data aggregation scheme on time dimension is presented to realize the billing of users.The control center can only decrypt the total power consumption of a single user in a billing cycle and cannot obtain the user’s power consumption for a specific period of time,that is,less than a billing cycle,to protect the privacy of user power.
