| London is the world’s first city constructing subway.Since 1863,many cities around the world set off a boom in the construction of the subway project. The subway has gradually become one of the signs of modern urban civilization.,with its larger passenger volume, higher speed, more accurate time and lower energy consumption.Today, we not only pursue the original structure of the rationality as before,but also pay much attention to comfort, ecology, culture, geographical and the beauty of architecture and space.Obviously,the subway is not only a means of transport, but also an important carrier of urban culture.What`s more, its importance as a public space in the city is increasing. When we want to quickly understand the city’s history and culture, perhaps having a glimpse of its subway construction is a good choice.Although regional design of subway construction has caused widespread concern,and has presented many excellent examples in domestic and overseas.Designers mostly concentrate on the decorative design of subway station hall layer, the platform layer,and the inlet channel where designers use the art of sculpture, murals and decorative patterns to express the regional design of urban subway construction. The design of regional subway entrance remains to be optimized and rich. The subway entrance building which is the traffic space connection between the urban space and the underground space,is the representative of the city image, standing all over.Our designers should learn from the existing mature regional design experience, and striveto explore more and more suitable design techniques to expand the width and depth of design.First of all, the article discusses from the concept, connotation, type, function and characteristics of the subway entrance building and talks about the subway material function and spiritual culture attribute. Subway entrances are characterized by small volume, large stream, Significant identity, convenience,comfort, having certain cultural, regional, and artistry. Designers must fully respect the material function properties, completing the function of transportation hub,safe evacuation,comfortable transition,smooth guiding and landscape.In addition, the focus in the study is to find ways showing urban culture and spreading regional culture.Secondly, the author checks through field investigation and network research of many typically regional landscape design of subway entrances at home and abroad.We analyze the regional cultural traditions rooted from different countries, explore its expression of material culture and spiritual culture attribute, seek common ground while putting aside differences and further explore the advantages and disadvantages of the existing subway entrances buildings` regional landscape expression.Again, the author study from the existing relatively mature regional architecture design theory, combine with unique functional properties of independent subway entrances and deduce the appropriate and uniquely regional design theory of the subway entrances. In the subway entrances design field, the author divides the regional culture into three aspects, which are natural climate, geographical environment, humane environment.What`s more,the author sums up the application of principles and the basic train of thought in the design of regional culture in the subway entrance region.What’s more,on the basis of practical investigation and theoretical construction,the author first summarizes the three common ways of the construction of the subway entrances. Secondly, the author sums up the elements of regional landscape design in the subway entrances are : cultural elements, symbols, building materials, architecturalcolor, night lighting, etc.Finally. The paper also summarizes three regional style design techniques of the subway entrance building are "contrast- unity" manipulation, "metaphor-symbol " manipulation and "abstract- representation " manipulation.It also discusses the connotation, extension and application of major path of the three methods.Finally, the author draws a conclusion that the subway entrance building,with small volume, big flow, small space, should be like a diamond in the city to shoulder the responsibility of transport hub and obtain the appropriate balance between the environment and self-expression. |
