Study On City Entrance Landscape Design

It will produce a look forward to enter the city.The portal of a city is a part of the urban space and urban nature system and is the specia l role of channels and m edia for t he formation exchanging,the development and the evo lution process of the city’s foreign substance.City portal is entering of a c ity,is a key of the transportation hub,is the window of showing the im age information,is an im portant hub of all kinds of activities.So,city portal landscape is the ke y to creating v isual image of the city.You should consider m ore comprehensive deep city portal that is the carrier on the importance of a city’ s image during the construction of urban gateway landscape design.You should highlight city of local regional characteristics, cultural inheritance as well as the ethnic characteristics and other factors.The design should have concepts of rich,a variety of forms, rich and varied in function.Through summarizing forefathers’ research results and based the essence of previous studies,this paper has analysis of portal city and combines with som e relevant city instance,discusses the problem s in the design and research. Th rough the study of basic theory, the paper hopes to strengthen th e city’s image as a whole unity, the urban ecological sustainable development and the c ontinuation of historical context, and the development of city ch aracteristic of thinking and research on the problem s such a s entrance landscape.Pilot study on the design and planning of the City East entrance landscape in Yanshi is to further clarify the concept, principles and methods of application.
