Air turbine pump launch system is a kind of special purpose dynamic fluid machine. All transient characteristics in the process of the work of air turbine pump launch system essentially has direct or indirect relationship with the internal fluid flow. The launching valve is critical component to control the torpedo launch trajectory and affect the transient characteristics of the emission system. It is of great significance to accurately understand and grasp the detailed characteristics of the interior flow field of launching valve. In this paper, to fully analyze the launching valve internal flow field characteristic, the conventional and newly designed spools in launching valve are carried out by using a method of mathematic model and numerical simulation. The optimal structure of the flow of gas medium of the launching valve is obtained through the optimization design. A component prototype of the optimal structure of the flow of gas medium is developed and optimization simulation and experimental contrast research of the flow of gas medium is to carry out.Specific contents are as follows:1. A mathematical model of turbine pump launch system in the emergency condition is established. The model of the conventional and newly designed spools in launching valve is solved to comparative analysis of the influence of different valve structure. Through research and analysis of the composition of the air turbine pump, each mathematical model of the major components such as emission gas cylinders, emission valves, air turbine pumps, rotary pumps is built. On this basis, the simulation calculation for the launch process of the entire launch system is performed, and the simulation results are analyzed. At the same time depending on the form of the three valve structures, the transmission valve model is changed, and then the simulation is compared to study impact of emission changes within the structure of the valve system launch ballistic.2. The three-dimension model of the launching valve internal flow is obtained. Through CFD commercial software, the model has been simulated. Then 3-D model of the launching valve has been changed and the simulation of the flow field in the different forms of valve core. Flow passage is generated by using structured grid of the former processing software ICEM CFD. The fundamental equations are Reynolds averaged N-S equations using shear stress transport k-ω turbulence model for solving turbulence flow. Setting the boundary conditions, the 3-D model of the launching valve internal flow as viscous and compressible under the non-constant flowing state has been simulated and studied. From the results, the distribution of pressure, velocity and velocity vector during the launching valve core in the process of dynamic movement has been provided. Characteristics of interior flow are analyzed at the same time. And a numerical analysis of results contrast is carried out between conventional and newly designed valve includes pressure, velocity and velocity vector. The results show that newly designed valve performance is improved.3. A component prototype of the optimal structure of the flow of gas medium is developed. The optimization structure of the flow of gas medium of the launching valve is replaced into the existing launching valve. Verification is performed between the simulation calculation and test results. In the emergency launch conditions, the rationality of the optimization design and scientific design method of the flow of gas medium of the launching valve is verified.
