Historic area is sensitive zone of the historical and cultural blocks and modern urban culture together.It’s used to be a busy area, was landscape with rich local characteristics, retains the old city life habit and the unique local customs. However, easygoing city’s rapid development, historic area lives in a difficult of the economic development and protection. How to build not only to adapt to the present development, but also protect the place memory, and to promote the development of place memory mode is the main problem of this paper.In this paper, the first chapter was the introduction, it mainly to showed by the research background and the related research both at home and abroad summarized analysis; il ustra te the paper involved in theory and research methods.The second chapter of related concepts, place memory formation, classificat io n, characteristics and theoretical research on memory element analysis; Good and through the case analysis to better understand memory.In the third and fourth chapter also the ferry to the porcelain bridge area of memory elements, memory information is preserved, the residents wil, tourists cognitive status quo of the research and study.The fifth chapter puts forward to the whole region spatial pattern of repair, and the revival of the regional traditional culture, the protection of key units to be bump, non-material cultura l heritage protection and utilization, reshape place of memory.The sixth chapter is summarize the full text and elaborate the characteristics and deficiencies.
