In recent years, with the excavator market demand increasing continuously and market competition becoming fierce, a variety of new technologies continue to develop the level of the excavator design and manufacture. However, according to previous reliability test and market feedback of the excavator, there exist so many problems in excavator attachments designed and manufactured by many domestic enterprises, such as static strength margin and fatigue strength shortage. The root cause of these problems is the lack of basic load spectra. To solve the above problems, this paper aims at proposing a practical method to test load spectra of excavator attachments, which provides test data for the excavator fatigue reliability and support to further improvement for the excavator and its attachments on the basis of a series of research. Thus improve the reliability and durability of the excavator.This paper taking XCMG XE215 excavator as the research object and referring research status at home and abroad about the work load of the excavator attachments, combined with existing research achievements, a research on test method of its load spectra of working attachments was carried out.Through kinematics and mechanical analysis of excavator attachments, this paper combine with mechanical characteristics of bucket and put forward a general designation to measure the working load of excavator, which was mainly about test method of bucket external load. Bucket external load was obtained via designing transducers to measure bucket joint by force, and then working out the mechanical equations. This method can measure the external load of excavator bucket completely, including forward load, partial load and lateral load.Base on the test method to build up measurement system, and select equipment and facilities, which required in the system.The test data was transformed and vivificated after obtained by test system.The testing device model is established and the key component is made by statics finite element analysis. According to characteristic of structural material, we assess the safety of test device while using in process.
