| Our country has entered a period of rapid urbanization, the rapid growth of urban vehicles has caused that the city traffic problems and the urban human settlements environment become increasingly serious. At the same time,urban slow and rapid traffic development imbalances (rapid traffic increasingly developed, slow traffic neglected for a long time).The good development of city’s rapid transit system can’t solve all the travel issues.Slow transit system connects public transport system with form of \"slow+bus\". Slow traffic in the travel cost is low, the green environmental protection, occupy less resources, and a series of advantages, are fully shows its important position in the whole traffic system.Advocating green traffic and shifting development concept is the inevitable trend of the future urban transportation development.First,this paperintroduces the concept of slow traffic and slow traffic cases both at home and abroad, analyzes factors related to the slow traffic, mainly of slow facility, the bicycle traffic and pedestrian traffic, and determines the slow traffic in the city’s function orientation and development strategy. On the basis of the research, slow traffic system planning method, content and principle are put forward. The slow system planning includesseven aspects which are the slow traffic system space partition, slow traffic network planning, slow crossing, bicycle parking facilities, bicycle rental, slow connection and calming measure.Then it analysis foreign cases and changzhou in-depth. Finally, on the basis of theoretical research, it put forward the west taihu xincheng slow traffic system planning, and briefly describes its planning goal and main content. New city aims to build compatible with the urban development, and the bus integration seamless, comfortable, safe and convenient new slow traffic system, so as to lead citizens to travel. |
