Study On Panning Strategy Of Low-carbon Ecological New Town

With the development of social economy, the industrialization of countries around the world promotes the urbanization progress, which is along with the expansion of the economy, population and land scale, as well as a series of social, economic and ecological problems. So the emergence of low carbon eco-city is the inevitable choice of urban development to a certain stage. The concept of low carbon eco-city has caused widespread attention in all countries around the world, and recent years a lot of city planning practice emerged. Low carbon eco-city solved the problem of many urban development to a great extent, promoted the development of regional economy and the formation of more effective compact urban spatial pattern, changed people's way of thinking and way of life, created a beautiful environment and harmonious city life. Therefore, the planning and construction of low carbon eco-city plays an important role to promote the transformation of modern urban planning and improve the quality of urban life. The research of low carbon eco-city planning is not only the need of city prosperity and sustainable development, but also the urgent task of improve the level of urban modernization in China.Taihu new town is the new city center of Wuxi. It is an open, ecological modernization new town. Based on Wuxi city master plan goal and urban development needs, Wuxi municipal government offered to plan and construct a low carbon ecological Taihu new town, which will become a low carbon ecological business trade center, science and education center and leisure livable center. This paper takes Wuxi Taihu new town as the research object, analyzes and researches the low carbon ecological planning in depth. The purpose of this paper is to provide theoretical guidance of follow-up for the city development of Taihu new town planning, and provide constructive suggestions for low carbon ecological urban planning in our country.This paper is mainly consisted of three main parts. First of all, the thesis in the introduction part mainly discusses the background and significance of the selected topic, and introduces research contents and methods, after which domestic and foreign research status of low carbon eco-city were described in detail. Secondly, the theoretical basis studying part illustrates the basic concept, connotation, characteristics and development type of low carbon ecological planning, and then analyzes the present situation and existing problems of our country low-carbon eco-city development, following the recommendation for the future development direction of domestic low-carbon ecological city. In addition, this part of paper analysis the low carbon eco-city planning strategy and technical method comprehensively, taking examples of Sweden Hammarby water town and Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city as successful low carbon ecological urban planning. These two examples provide reference for the comprehensive description of low-carbon ecological city of Taihu new town planning scheme. Finally, the paper comprehensively introduces the Wuxi Taihu new town planning background and basic situation, and then introduces low-carbon ecological planning system of Wuxi Taihu new town. Additionally, this part of paper comprehensively and deeply investigates the specific ecological planning strategy adopted by Taihu new town. Reflection and summary of Taihu new town's is made to get experience and enlightenment on this basis. The conclusion part of the thesis carries on the induction and summary to the full text, and the future development of low carbon eco-city is prospected.
