The rapid development of economy greatly increased the demand for energy, fossil fuels is non-renewable and has caused serious environmental problems, thus the development of renewable energy sources is imperative. Oceans account for 70% of the surface, rich in natural resources. In coastal marine of China, the wave energy resources can be used reaches 16 million kW, leading to a bright future.Wave energy is free of time and location restrictions, but its frequency and amplitude vary with time, while direct drive power device has no intermediate buffer structure, making the energy change widely with wave. So a Storage-Boost-Charge-Invert process is implemented to transform the unstable energy into a stable form to be used. The power system is launched offshore, since on-site maintenance is very inconvenient, a remote monitoring system is designed witch not only can collect voltage waveform, but also protect generator in extreme conditions. Data collected can be transferred via GPRS network to host PC, host software analyzes the data and draw waveforms. A 1000W pure sin-wave inverter is designed to invert 48V DC into 220V AC,50Hz.The device is launched in the waters near the Qinshan island of Lianyungang, received data indicates the system is functioning well. The inverter is tested in laboratory, Output voltage, temperature, and efficiency were measured, the parameters satisfy the design requirements.
